Hi there everyone! For those that i haven't met properly yet, my name is Kelly and i live in the Adelaide Hills in SA. Am a 31yr old mum to a beautiful 18month old son. Hubby and i have just celebrated our 8yr anniversary and we are hoping to add baby number 2 as soon as possible.
My motivation for entering this comp is to lose weight, but also to shake away the 'cloud' that seems to have settled over me lately.
Before i got pregnant i lost 26kgs over 12 months, using Zumba, RPM (spin bike) classes and working with a personal trainer at a gym. I kept up my exercise until 7.5 months into the pregnancy so when i got home from the hospital after giving birth i had only gained 4kg. But in only three months of being at home with a newborn, not exercising and eating whatever i could grab quickly and easily and i put it all back on again and the weight has been creeping up again ever since.
I dont have the energy that i used to, my legs and joints often ache and although my GP has said that i am "healthy" (cholesterol, blood pressure, etc) i definitely dont feel good about myself. Hard to try for baby number 2 when you dont feel attractive and want to hide from your hubby
I will set up some separate threads about what my plans are re diet, exercise timing etc and would love to hear people's suggestions or their experiences with the different challenges that come with any lifestyle program.
I will be using my Zumba DVDs for the first time tonight after i get home from work and get bubba into bed.
