Default BFing & TTC...what can I do to increase chances?

We are currently trying to conceive but not having much luck. I am still BFing my 2 year old and I am wondering if that could be why? I have heard so many different pills to try - vitex, b6, soy isoflavone etc. Has anyone had any success with these methods or any others?

How often do you breastfeed? I conceived while breastfeeding my now 17 month old DS (I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant). I only breastfeed him once or twice a day and I fell pregnant straight away using the SMEP and using ovulation tests I got off eBay. Maybe try that?

Has your cycle returned? Is it regular enough to chart?
I was breastfeeding when TTC and my cycle was really irregular. I got an ovulation tester and when I felt ovulation cramps, I did the test and got pregnant first try

Still feeding a few times a day especially through the night. Really trying to cut that back though. Period came back before bub turned 1 and has been regular for the last year and a half. Have tried OPK's the last few cycles and O day seems consistently on CD 14 and usually means I have a 12 day luteal phase.

If you are ovulating then you have the same chance to fall pregnant as everyone else

A 12 day luteal phase isn't too bad, but not perfect, a little longer might make it more likely for egg to implant. Vitex can't hurt. I took Vitex when TTC my 2nd and it increased my LP from 11 days to 14 and I was pregnant soon after that
