    Default The gift of sleep

I just read an article in today's Sunday Telegraph about sleep training. (page 39) The reporter writes about her own experience and apparently her daughter learned to self settle in 3 days.

Has anyone heard of Elizabeth Sloane or read her e-book "The gift of sleep"?

Yes I have read it out of curiosity and many of my mothers group swear by it.

Would you recommend it? Is there any crying involved?

The only book that I would read so far is the "No-Cry sleep solution". But the article made me curious.

I personally wouldn't use it but yes it is a cry it out method, it involves putting baby down in a sleeping bag and either knocking on the door or "sshhh" every 5 mins until they learn to go to sleep without a dummy or rocking.
she advises against doing it with babies under 6 months old.

    Thanks for your reply.

Knocking on the door.. how bizarre. Definitely not for me.
