Sorry to hear you're feeling sick Channy. I think it's definitely a good idea for you to have some time to chill out and not worry about all the little things we do when ttc.

AFM, it's moving day #1 of 2! I'm so looking forward to Friday it's not funny. Currently on cd9, had a temp dip this morning but looking at previous charts that seems to be common for me around this time, then it climbs and dips again when I ovulate a week later. So nice being able to recognize a pattern and not stressing about what it could mean lol.

Hi ladies, I've not had a chance to get onto BH for awhile now. Have just caught up on the posts in here since I was last here..

Channy, I'm so sorry to hear about your mc and also that you're not feeling well now - I hope things get better for you really soon.

Arlais, you asked a few pages back if there was anyone seeing a fertility specialist - I am. Have been for about 14 months now. We got in pretty quickly once we had a referral from the GP. Where abouts do you live? Because my GP actually told me about a public clinic near where we are and we haven't had to pay very much at all - all the consults, drugs, scans and blood tests have been covered by Medicare. It's just the sperm tests and sperm washes that we've been billed for (it's saved us thousands). We're actually moving onto IVF next year and the public clinic doesn't do IVF (I was put on Clomid, had a heap of tests and then 3 injection cycles with IUI there) so we now have an appointment with a new specialist in Jan to get the ball rolling with IVF.

Shell T, I saw Russell Brand on Saturday night and I too am a lover. I went with my 15 year old step sister, she's a HUUUUUGE fan of his and our parents bought her ticket for her birthday. She took her Russell Brand book with her and was so happy to have gotten it signed after his show.

A could of people were mentioning Vitex a few pages back aswell.. I've read a few different things about it.. Some people say you should stop as soon as you find out your pregnant but others claim that this can cause early miscarriage so the advice that was given to me was to stop taking it as soon as you ovulate. I took it at the beginning of this cycle and although I hadn't ovulated yet (I have long cycles), I stopped taking it at the two week mark anyway. I think for anyone looking to use it, do some research before deciding how long to take it for.

Hope everyone is doing well. xo

Aquarius, it sounds like you should see a doc to be sure everything is ok. You could also try acupuncture and see a naturopath to get natural remedies tailored to you - these reportedly work very well for some people - a friend of mine actually fell pregnant after her first acupuncture session.

Another thing you can try is to pay attention to the full moon - next one is on the 28th. In our modern society, our bodies get tricked by artificial lighting. For the 3 nights of the full moon (27th, 28th, 29th) have an early night and try to sleep in moonlight if you can. If that's not possible, next best thing is to sleep with a light on (pref blue based not yellow tone) for those 3 nights. Getting your body on sync with the moon can help to regulate your cycle providing there isn't an underlying medical reason your period is delayed. If you pay attention to the moon cycles, you will find for 6 months you're usually in line with the full moon, and the other half of the year with the dark (new) moon.

    Hi Aquarius,
How long have you been TTC? How often have you been getting AF?
When I first went off the pill, my cycles were around 46-52 days. Then they went all crazy and ranged from 32 days - 4 months! My GP did some tests then sent me to a specialist (had been off the pill for 9 months at this stage). I was put on Clomid and it helped a little but I was still ovulating around day 18 or so and my cycles weren't completely regular. It was after 6 months of Clomid that they moved me onto Gonal F injections, which shortened my cycles (the injections everyday were a HUGE struggle though as I have a needle phobia)..

Thanks for your messages, well af has been anything from 32-54 days and I've been off the pill since May this year, they found a polyp but said they wouldn't remove it until April next year if I haven't fallen, but the whole irregular af is driving me bonkers, and my hormones are all over the show
When you were put on clomid did the Dr prescribe that to you or did you need to see a specialist for that?

Oh I have actually read about accupuncture, I may give it a go, I'm willing to try anything, because like I said its been 8 months and still not regular

I THINK the GP may be able to prescribe it but my GP did send us to a specialist. He did some more tests on top of what the GP had already done (also did some tests on hubby) and then prescribed Clomid.

Aquarius I recommend seeing your GP and getting bloods and an ultrasound. It's a good starting point...

Yeah think I need to make another appointment, I had an ultra sound in October that's when they found the polyp in my uterus but they were happy to leave it there until April, I really am just over the irregular af because of course that puts my ovulation out so I don't know whether I'm Arthur or marther haha, there is a good doctor where I am but he is booked up until 9 Jan so have made an appointment but think ill book in to see and get accupuncture,
    What does Clomid do?
