I see some people boil water on stovetop for 5 mins, others boil the kettle.

I always thought that the kettle only brings water to the boil, so it wouldn't be boiling the water for long enough. Is this right? If its ok to use the kettle it would be so much easier!

Default How do you preare your water for making up formula?

When I had to change to FF I used to boil the kettle and store in a filtered water jug on the bench and make them up as I needed them.

Wow I didn't know so much time and thought went into boiling water? Maybe I'm just naive about it. I used to just boil water in the electric jug then put in a different jug into the fridge to use for that day. Sounds like I was doing it wrong, but DD was never sick and turned out ok.

The kettle should be fine for MAINS supply water.
I would stove-top 5minute boil rainwater and bore water though.
