Default Mirena users. Strings feel very low.

I had the mirena fitted 2 months ago.
I have noticed when feeling for the strings sometimes they are really high but others they are extremely low.
Last night I checked and I only had to put my finger in about an inch and I could feel them, they don't just hang down either they are kind of bent or curled up.

I'm booked into my GP this afternoon so she can check them.
I'm really afraid of expelling the mirena as I'm really enjoying it.

Are the strings suppose to move around in there?
I'm hoping it's just my cervix moving down low as I approach my period, but they just seem really low...

They most likely just need to be cut shorter. My iud strings ate cut very short so I've never been able to feel them myself, but dp can occasionally feel them when dtd. Also your cervix changes positions at different times during your cycle.
