Default The ultimate runners up challenge

Just checking in. Anyone doing any exercise or cooked any healthy food?
    Porridge for breakfast for me,
Ryvita with curried egg (egg, cottge cheese and curry powder) on top
Not sure what's for dinner yet. No exercise yet but have got some lined up for tomorrow.

Default The ultimate runners up challenge

Okay, I'm LISOG and I'm a runner up and proud!

My start weight is 134kgs and 5ft9. Due to health issues in pregnancy and prior to pregnancy my weight ballooned out to what it is, despite the fact I'm still healthy and quite fit.

I would like to be 80kgs. Which means a 54kg to lose in total (and 100% embarrassing to state that an almost makes me want to cry).

I've already lost 9.7kgs, how ever gained 3 kgs when I had a chest infection for a few weeks. But that's still a 6.7kg loss in the last 5 weeks.

I want to do this to get my life back. I am very big framed and was a size 14 at 100kgs when I was 18 and was fit as a fiddle with no fat in my tummy or anything. I miss that body and I'm so self conscious and embarrassed by myself.

I don't eat badly or over eat. However I still gained weight due to some tummy deficiency issues which are now under control and sorted, and my body is now cooperating.

I want to do it for my self esteem and confidence and also so I am a great role model for the most amazing girl in the world, my daughter.

My goal for this challenge is 10 kgs.

    Bring it on!

    Ok, let's get started!

I set my alarm for 6.15am this morning and went for a run! It was very slow but I still ran for 20mins non stop! I walked the rest of the 10 minutes home.

    My start stats are:

    Weight: 79kg (exactly!)

I also did my measurements. I have started my own weight loss journal in here as well so if you want to see what I'm eating and what exercise I'm doing etc, feel free to go and check it out!

My plan is to drink 2 litres of water a day and get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily and stick to a cal guide of 1200 calories per day. I am not eating lollies, chocolate or any fried foods for the duration of this challenge. I am a very black and white person... if I eat one, I eat them all

I hope you are all as psyched as I am and I can't wait to hear how it's going for the rest of you! If you need help and support, please don't hide away. Writing it in here will help. We can get you back on track.

I am the same if I eat one I will devour the lot!

I've had a yuck day, but not bad. Just no excersize as my car is playing up and we don't have safe walking tracks at home as its rural so only option is walking on a 80km road. That I don't plan to do with a 1 year old.

However once the car is fixed Ill start going down to our walking spot and we can go walking.

I haven't eaten bad today and its been a good day.

I'm aiming for 3 litres of water a day. No chocolate, fried food, take away or soft drink (that one might be hard).

At the end of the challenge if I reach my 10 kg loss goal I am going to get my hair done as a treat.

    Will anyone else treat themselves?

Day 1 was good for me, went to the super market got lots of healthy foods and I did lots of physical work out in the yard, moved about a 100 rocks out of the paddock.
But today has been one big failure before I even got out of bed. Fighting with dp, stupid work stuff.
Fingers crossed I can keep it together food wise and just start again fresh tomorrow. Second day blues?!
    Good luck today everyone!

Ok so my official starting weight was 97kgs. I have managed to avoid snacking over the last couple of days however I did have a chicken and vegetable pie yesterday for lunch... But thanks to the fact I am moving next Monday I am getting so much exercise packing and cleaning the house... I put the radio on and dance as I clean etc it makes cleaning fun lol... So since I have so much to lose I guess my goal for this challenge is also 10kgs. If I reach my goal I plan on a bit of pampering as a reward

Day 1 for me was a bit crap. Took the kids to a friends house swimming and ate a bit to much crap. I know i shouldnt have but oh well. Today i walked the kids to school. (have to cause the car is playing up) But thats a good thing cause i will get more exercise into the day.
I had eggs on toast for brekky and fish with veges for lunch. Should of had a better brekky but hubby wasnt home yesterday for me to go to the shop in a working car.
Going to do better from now on. I also try to drink 3 lts of water a day but sometimes i just cant do it. It makes me start to feel sick. I dont know if that happens to anyone else. (I dont like putting lemon in water to help either)

For every hour of exercise you do you should be drinking another liter of water.

Well done everyone for starting this journey and heres hoping i keep up with it. I do get a bit slack with lack of motivation sometimes. It doesnt help i dont have anyone to do this with where i am.

I am notorious for loss of motivation, however I think that we can all support each other and just think how we'll feel!

Third day of no soft drink and I have a massive beyond massive headache. I wonder if that's caffeine related. I don't drink tea or coffee.

It'll be the sugar it's pretty insane how much sugar is in soft drink. I've read the sweet poison and the sweet poison quit plan books. I swapped to zero and diet soft drinks. Still has lots of nasty artificial sweeteners but have found that once I didn't have the sugar the all consuming need for the soft drink disappeared, was just a glass a day now it's a glass a week if that. Pepsi max is good

Also once I cut the sugar out my appetite went nuts, always had this under lying hunger but it was just the craving for sugar felt like hunger.

    Stupid sugar!
