Default Graduates of TTC and not wanting to move!!!!

Feeling like pregnancy is such a waiting game. Wait for AF to leave, wait to O, wait to test, and then since falling pregnant its been counting down days for doc appointments. I'm such a impatient person so this is like torture! Lol. And I'm only 8 weeks. Right now the countdown is on to see my OB next Tuesday. I'm really excited for my first appointment! Even though I'm really not sure what to expect. Can anyone please fill me in?

Ohhh enjoy your first ob appointment!

What to expect? Well, your ob will most likely weigh you and get a detailed medical history from you. He will want to know if you take any regular medications etc etc. You'll most likely have a quick scan to check how bubs is doing also. I was also given a referral for ante-natal bloods to be done which I hadn't done with my GP. If your ob gives you a referral for bloods be warned that you'll have to pay for it. If your GP gives you the same referral then you won't have to pay for them. I believe it has something to do with medicare don't cover bloods from specialists? I was also given my referral for my NT scan and bloods also. Other than that though, I can't recall what else happened at my first ob appointment. You can also discuss any concerns or questions you have so make good use of the time

Good luck today nila! Will be thinking of you and sending lots of
Positive vibes your way. Dream girl it really is a waiting game!

I also have had the bra issue
And waited as long as I could to buy new ones. I have gone up 2 cup sizes by 13 weeks. To those that are buying be warned that mine grew
Around 6-8 weeks and again at 12-13. Apparently it's likely they grow at around 35 weeks as well. Take this into consideration when outlaying for good bras. I also have had a bit of a sore back with the increased weight. I don't think the mat bras are as supportive.

Have a good day ladies! Eek I better head to work or I'll be late

    :-)

Grr I'm annoyed at my mum! We decided that we would tell just our parents that we are VERY early pregnant but we aren't telling anyone else til 12 weeks..... Mum told my little brother and sister which was ok so we told told all our siblings so just our immediate family know.... Then I ring her and tell her fil is pushing for us to let him tell his sister and mum (which I'm a bit annoyed about since its not really his news to tell) then my mum turns around and tells me that she told my uncle and aunty who we aren't even close with all the while telling us that we can't keep a secret we will tell everyone before 12 weeks. I get that they are excited but I'm not even due for my period until tomorrow at the latest! I'd like to at least wait til docs appt! Ahh sorry about a vent first thing in the morning, hope everyone is well

K17, I knew my mum would go nuts and call everyone as soon as she found out. When I told her, I swore her to secrecy and told her if someone specifically asked, she could tell them. I didn't mind her telling family members that I'm unlikely to talk to, but not until I was ready for them to know. Definitely not before I'd been to doctor and passed when AF was due.
