Thanks J I was just getting worried as with my DD & DS I didn't have any problems at all with anything. My endocrinologists has suggested for me to see a special team at the hospital where they do everything 2gether so in one appt they check thyroid and see how bubs is going so I'm going to do that it will help with trying to get time off work.
Thanks so much for your support it means a lot to me to be able to get your opinion on treatments.

J: OR Anyone else with this same problem:
Just wondering if I should know/do or not do anything regarding having hashimoto's and being pregnant
    Hi loony

I have Hashi's and am currently on 100mcg of Thyroxine as my TSH was around 3 and my endo/FS specialist wanted to see me at under 2. I am now at 0.88 which is awesome! I feel great and bubs must be doing great too as everything has been good so far

My ob has not classed me as high risk but I do need to have my TSH checked every month just to make sure it remains on track.

As far as I am aware and what I have been told, as long as it's kept under control, then bubs will be just fine

I forgot to ask her what my tsh level was. But I do have to get another blood test hcg for my sanity so will get the tsh added on. She said my levels were good and keep going on the 50mg.

Well, in theory if the bhCG is falling, then there is insufficient bhCG to stimulate the corpus luteum to produce progesterone, which is what maintains the pregnancy and nutures the endometrium.
Breakthrough bleeding can occur in normal pregnancies, usually when period is due. Not fully understood why.
    Does that help?
    J xx.

ToniS - hope your migraine got better. I get migraines too, it sucks. Are you in Adelaide? Its been bloody hot here today!!!

Channy I hope you can get some answers soon

Nila - Fx your bubby is nice and happy in there. The continuous bleeding must be really stressful for you!!

Im doing ok, 6w3d today. Just still REALLY tired and waves of nausea throughout the day. 2 weeks today till my first scan and Im going NUTS waiting!! Booked in with the OB I had with DD1, first appt at 10w3d. just realised today I still havent got a referral so need to get that from the GP.

Question (not sure if anyone can answer it!!) I Would like to tell people at Xmas but we probably wont have had the 12 week scan yet cos ill be 12 weeks on the 29th Dec. Not sure how its going to work as most places will probably close down over Xmas / New Years? I wonder if I can pre-book early?? Or do I have to wait until I have the referral from the Ob?? Hmmmmmmm

I'm in Adelaide, it has been hot today. Seems like the cool change is finally here.

Which hospital are you going to?

I'd be interested to hear about scans. I'll be 12 weeks on 4th January. I'm hoping they'll be open around then, so they can do it. I've got first ob appt next Wednesday, so hoping to get 12 week scan booked in then.
