I'm not sure when is too early, I had my first last week at 7w3d and could see the heartbeat. I'm hoping my ob will give me another scan next Friday at my appt which is my original appointment as last weeks was unexpected. If not it will be at 12 weeks which is in 4 weeks time.

My GP told me to wait till 6 weeks to organise my scan because before then you can't see a heartbeat. I've made it for 6+4 incase my calculations are a little off.

I would say wait a few more days so you are nearer 7 weeks in case you ovulated later than you thought and it is too early. I went when I was 7+2 and the scan showed I was 6+6. It would be awful to go at 6 weeks and not see a heartbeat because it is actually 5 and a half weeks!

My gp said to me that they normally can see the heartbeat as early as 5 and a half weeks to 6 weeks but when I called to make the appointment they said to make it after 6 weeks otherwise it's pointless so who knows! I am going to be exactly 6weeks when I have my scan and hope that it will show a strong heart beat...fx for everyone's to also have a healthy baby
Have anyone told about the pregnancy yet or are you going to wait?

I had my first scan at 9+2. It helped that I was overseas so that stopped me from wanting to get a scan any earlier.

We have told a few close friends and family. I have also told people at work just in case anything happens while I'm there. I work next to the early pregnancy clinic in royal women's hospital so I have also told a few ladies in there what about you?
