So am 7weeks today but have a little bit of bleeding on the paper when I wipe when I go to the toilet tonight. Will hopefully not increase at all but if it does I will go to the GP for a check. Very worrying especially when combined with cramps

Default Graduates of TTC and not wanting to move!!!!

I hope everything is on Toni! It's always horrible when you don't know what's going on.

Afm - I have a question, with my last pregnancy I had bad fluid retention during and after pregnancy, I went to the health shop and started taking horse chestnut to relieve the build up, my question is would this be safe to take during pregnancy? Where we are living now is hotter and very humid, compared to where we were with dd and already the fluid is bad at 13w!!!
    Thoughts?

Waitinghoping - so sorry to be a pain but I'm due 13th July. I must have listed the wrong date before, I will blame my scatter brain. I am like you, I can't seem to get past midday without wanting a nap.

ToniS- I hope everything is ok, might be worth seeing your GP anyway, even with just a bit of spotting you don't want to be worrying all day or all weekend over it. Maybe they can get you a scan? Huge hugs!

My blood test showed low ferretin and low iron at a level of 6. I was just told it's low and take iron, but I don't know how low that means? I only ask as the iron tablets have a bloating and constipated affect on me so wondering if it is just borderline low can I try raise it with foods? My haemaglobin was up to 119 so much better then it had been. I guess I want to know if I can get out of taking iron tablets? Lol.
    Thanks!
Your haemoglobin is normal, so you have enough iron at the moment to get by, yes. Iron tablets are notorious for causing constipation and black poo, so I don't blame you for wanting to avoid them. You can probably get by with iron-rich food unless you are a vegetarian, which makes it a real challenge. Red meat 3 times a week is a good approach...can you manage that?

Question for J - are Blackmores Travel Calm tablets ok to take while pregnant? I think they are just ginger? Im getting waves of nausea and its manageable at the moment but I know it will get worse. I have the Travel Calm tablets but not the Blackmores Morning Sickness ones yet, so just wondering if I can use them?
If they are ginger, then that's fine. The important question is...do they work?!
I have the Blackmores MS tablets, but I think I wasted my money, as they are not effective for me. But, everyone is different.

If the horse chestnut works, then yes, keep using it...it's fine.

Agree with you, they did nothing for me either.

I agree with Swizzly; if it were me (and this did happen to me too), I would see your GP today and organise bloods and an ultrasound. It is alot more difficult to organise on the weekend, and you don't want to stress...not good for you!
At 7 weeks, an ultrasound can now give you a useful result.
    Keep us posted,
    J xx.

Good luck! Let us know asap.
It is a stressful event, that's for sure...but all going well, you will want to dance out of there with relief! (Or cry with relief like I did!).
