Default Graduates of TTC and not wanting to move!!!!

I'm the same as Lili81, 2nd of April...

Eko and Lili, did you find out the gender?! I'm so tempted, don't have my ultrasound until 3 weeks,
    when I'll be 22 weeks.

Hope you're all coping ok with ms, I found it tough getting through the work day too... now it's much easier. In the mornings at work I need to walk up this little hill, I'm having some issues there & find it embarrassing that I need to stop half way (it's pretty little).

Default Graduates of TTC and not wanting to move!!!!

I have my morph scan Monday but we are not finding out the gender.

I have been blessed with no MS nor much other symptoms really. I just wished I could stay in bed till 11am every morning but that do not change much from usual

I hope your ms gets easier real soon xx

    Just thought I'd check in!
Still spewing like clock-work! I drove Oscar to creche this morning with a plastic bag in my hand; managed to make it there and back, but only just! I will be glad when this bit is over, that's for sure. Just a warning for others who are vomiting...be careful with tooth and mouth care. I managed to crack a tooth on Monday, and the dentist said it is really common in early pregnancy due to the increased acid in your mouth with each vommie (delightful, I know!). She said rinse with water after each time, which I try to do.
I hope everyone is travelling well; we have quite a group now!

J, hopefully your ms goes soon.

I had a check up at dentist a couple of weeks ago. He too said to be careful with oral hygiene during pregnancy. I'll make sure I rinse after I vomit (clearly I'm not very optimistic that I'm going to escape ms)

When you get a chance, can you please add me to the front list? Thanks

I went and saw a gp today. He said there was no need for a blood test because my hpts were definitely positive.

I asked him about pregnancy vitamins and he said just to take folate. Should I be taking a pregnancy vitamin? And if so, which one?

He also said I could eat whatever i liked and didn't have to avoid any foods - I don't think I believe that either.

I got my referral for my ob and have booked my first appointment for 28/11.

Hey Lil Smurfy I take the Blackmores Pregnancy but maybe chat to your pharmacist for advice. With regards to food my GP told me no raw meat, no soft serve, no soft cheese and not to much shellfish (must be cooked shellfish) that was it. I plan on confirming with Ob on 23rd

My GP didn't send me for a blood test either, he was happy with my 8 positives hehe.
I was taking swisse pregnancy ultivite but switched to blackmores pregnancy and breast feeding when I found out I was pregnant.
Download the baby centre app it tells you what food to avoid in there. I don't know wether it's necessary but its worth it i think

I just wrote a long reply and it got lost!!!!
    In summary...
    1. No need for a bhCG; it wont tell you anymore than the HPT. If there are concerns about the pregnancy, then you need at least 2 consecutive bhCG tests 2-3 days apart to give you any useful information. Your OBGYN will do routine antenatal bloods (rubella, syphilis, HIV, Hep B/C, blood group, Vit D, iron, etc).
    2. Antenatal vitamins...definitely folate, but no real need for over-priced pregnancy vitamins unless you are deficient in something specifically. Try to eat red meat, spinach, lots of vegies with some iodised salt (for the iodine). Iron-rich foods.
    3. Bub Hub has a good list of foods to avoid in the 1st trimester. In summary; oysters, uncooked fish such as sushi, take-away which has been sitting in bain-maries, soft-serve ice-cream, soft cheeses such as brie. The risk is a bacteria called Listeria which is fine in non-pregnant women, but may cause infection in pregnant women. The risk is low, so don't stress too much!!
Sorry for the short answers...so annoyed my last message lost, grrrr.
    Take care, J xx.
