great news fel! its always a good idea to stick with your first u/s dates because your 7 week dating scan is the most reliable. After about 8 weeks bubs become more individual and grow at slightly different rates! well thats what the OB's at my work say!

Thats a pity k17. i am also going public but it is best practise to have a first trimester screen at 12 weeks (bloods and u/s for down syndrome and a couple other syndromes. I am young (ish) 29 - and got a high risk for downs so just had a CVS to rule it out. being a midwife myself I am surprised they dont do this in all areas in Aus.

Thanks button I'm so confused because he was much more thorough and when he looked at my scan from 7 weeks he said something about the measurements taken from too far away? He said they should have zoomed in closer to the baby to get a more accurate due date.
    Ahh so confusing! Lol

Yes, we are...13th June. Now I'm confused. If 13th June 2013 is a Wednesday, then today is 13w2d for us?

Yes, that's absolutely correct. Which is why I'm sticking to my EDD 13th June...and probably explains why I confused myself, as my 12-week scan was different by 1-2 days if I recall.
But EDD is definitely most reliable by earliest scan.

Will it make a difference for my Nuchal translucency scan? My baby will be measuring 13 weeks 3 days on the date now that's if it hasn't grown more. Also is it possible the scan at 6 + 3 wasn't as accurate because she took the measurements from so far away. He said at that distance a millimeter can put the dates off. I'm so confused now
Ill just stick with my original dates and hope bub isn't to big when I go.

Does anyone know if subcutaneous cysts are a part of pregnancy, I normally get them but only 1 every year or so mostly under my arms (have had 1 removed from the side my neck and have one at the back of my neck that I need a surgeon to remove) but I have had 5 already this pregnancy including 3 currently under 1 arm. So far they go away themselves but they are very painful. Should I be asking the Ob or the GP about these?

Yup I know about Cyclone season, we are already getting told to expect one this month and then 4 in the new year. I hope they don't head this way and stay out in the ocean. Does it normally stay that hot all year round where you are? We cool down a fair bit in winter and looking at the map the other day we are similar distances north just on opposite sides of Australia. By the sounds of things you might get hotter during summer than us as well. We are normally around 32C - 35C (though that is expected to be higher this year) but its the humidity that normally kills us.
