Nila, fertility friend calculates the coverline when it determines when you've ovulated. It doesn't really serve any purpose but to show the biphasic pattern

The blue line is because I changed the date of ovulation, the red line is from when fertility friend chooses the date!

Hey ladies - quick question about OPK's, first cycle that I am using them. If my surge was happening, does the line generally appear at the same time as the control line if it is positive? I am CD 24 and still have no symptoms and the line still takes nearly the full 5 mins for the faintest line to appear.
Going by last cycle being 43 days, I am predicting that O is next week, but still doing OPK's incase.
    So bloody frustrating

Nope as long as you read it within the time frame. Some say don't read until 5 mins.

When I got my positive on sat, it took about 5 mins to really get dark enough to conclude it was positive!

I find the same - I generally don't read them for 5 mins or even more as the line takes a while to gradually get darker. I find they are different to pregnancy tests - you dont get a proper positive straight away even if you are right in the middle of your surge.

Hi Ladies Sorry I have been MIA - weekends are never good for me so I can only really get on here at work (DF hogs the PC at home, he is quite the nerd, lol)

Shelby - I am sorry you have been having such a rough time with it - it can't be easy to have you partner working away and having long cycles I really hope you O closer to the weekend so you can have a good chance, I have everything crossed for you

J - So good to see your signature updated! How is the MS going?

Rainbow - what an exciting few days for you!! I have been following your story and I can't wait to see you get your BFP... I am not sure what the next steps are, do they do a blood test in a few weeks?

ToniS - Are you on the mend now or still sick? I really hope you feel better soon.

Tormy - I am so sorry to hear this cycle wasn't successful, especially after such great results Maybe your body is just shifting into gear for next month

MissX - I can't imagine how hard this would be with long cycles but it sounds like you are doing everything you can to catch that O time. Good luck!

Sorry for anyone I missed - with such a big gap in when I can jump on here I am sure there was something I have missed, but a big hello to everyone!

AFM - I was bad. I wasn't meant to test until Sunday which would have been 14dpo. Well here I am at 9DPO and I caved, I don't know what it is, I get the urge and I can't think about anything else I have no will power. BUT there was a faint line... really faint. I didn't know what to make of it so went about my morning and tested again once I had been at work a while... a stronger line. Still faint, but stronger! I am not going to get excited until it gets a lot stronger and the weekend comes and goes with no AF. I am hoping this means BFP and I would attach a picture but I can't work it out, I can't seem to get it to save as the right attachment. Boo. But this also proves one thing to me FMU isn't always the best for me, second is usually better for results!

Oh wow!...at 9DPO it will be faint, but it sounds promising!!! I didn't use FMU either, but it really is more of a function of how concentrated your urine is...if you don't drink alot in the morning, it wont matter much. If your hubby is a computer nerd, can he help upload the photo? We have to see it!!

Morning sickness is awful, but I would never dare complain! Just getting used to having my head in the toilet bowl! I am still worried I'll get to 12 weeks and it'll have no head or something similarly awful.

    Anyway....that is GREAT news...post a pic!!

Df doesn't know yet, I didn't want to show it to him until it was a little stronger or until after the weekend as I know he will ask why I was testing so early

I know what you mean about the 12 week mark - it wont be so much getting there this time but what the scan will show. I have been on 5mg of folic acid as last one was a neural tube defect, so I will be terrified having that scan... they have said they will let me have it through the fetal medicine unit though and have a doctor there so they can explain everything so even if something goes wrong again, I will know straight away.

Ok, I will try upload a pic... here goes! I think it is going to come out sideways.

Default TTC and not wanting to move #5

Thanks ladies! I will continue to stick it out.

Oh fingers crossed swizzly... I so so hope it is a BFP!!

Yes it is so frustrating and I am trying to not get annoyed by it, but it is so disheartening when I see people go through a whole cycle and I haven't even made it to O time yet. Just hope it happens sooner rather than later!( getting UTD that is!)
No-one in my family ever had this issue when coming off BC and when not being on BC... So I get gutted sometimes wondering why my cycles are so long... But hopefully I do actually O and make a baby soon!!

J I really hope your MS gets better soon. I have never vomited in front of DH (been together 11years) so I am really worried about MS. So I hope it goes soon.

    Xx
