tormy - my recovery from the 1st lap was painful (I was off work for about a week), the pain was more from all the gas they pump in to your belly when they do the actual procedure. It was day surgery only. I remember my shoulder and neck were agony after cos the body has to absorb all the gas.. Was off work for 1 week and in pain most of that time. They found nothing on that one apart from that I have an extended bowel...

The 2nd Lap was done by a different specialist who is supposed to be a guru of pelvic conditions here in SA, who put a shunt (I think thats the word?) in to help remove the excess air. It meant I had one extra very small scar, but SOOOOO much less pain after and the recovery was much quicker. That one was an overnight stay. 2nd one found Endo on my right ovary, plus I was riddled with another growth that they thought was clear endo. Pathology showed it wasnt clear endo, its apparently some rare growth that they know "of" but at the time (2008) it didnt have a name and no research had been done in to how it affects fertility. So, Im in the "too hard basket".

My gut feeling is I will be up for another lap soon too...

Lucky I have a tough skin. Sounds like a few of us are going to let loose this Christmas, hopefully we all get BFPs xx
Margaritas can't hurt either!! Hopefully your month off is just what you need. Who knows, you may not have to temp again after this party!!

Thanks. Testing again Thursday morning but I'm not very positive about it. I have no symptoms at all. Bbs were sore a few days ago but not now. But like you said, relaxing at Xmas might just be the trick!!

Fx for your blood test on Wed. Hope you O!!! Good luck with your lap.

After my d&c my obgyn said to expect AF in 4-6 weeks. I had spotting for 3 days after the procedure, then heavier for 3 days associated with heaps of cramps and lots of hormones. I saw the dr then and he said those symptoms were from my body realizing I was/had miscarrying and trying to do it naturally. I spotted a further 3 days after that. I then ovulated 14 days after that spotting stopped and AF arrived 2 wks after that so 5.5 wk long cycle. The general consensus from my researching at the time is that cd1 seems to be when the bleeding stops which is how it worked for me. I hope you are feeling better each day Waiting!!! Hugs
Ah cool thanks! Im thinking because I didnt really have much bleeding after (just spotting old blood I presume from the d&c) Im going to count the D&C as day 1 and see what happens from there. Have ordered new OPKs and will watch and see....
