Hi bond girl. I wonder If you might have accidentally clicked out of my shop and into Etsy. It's an online marketplace. I have a shop inside that one called Made By Sunday. I do baby clothes only at the moment.

Has anyone tried the SMEP? I'm giving it a go this cycle. Is it ok to dtd more then your meant to or should you stick to the plan exactly?
I just read all about the smep plan. Was thinking of using it this cycle too. We were roughly doing it already but DH seemed ok with committing to it more formally.

    FX it does the trick

Is anyone else trying smep? I am a touch confused as to the benefit of DTD for three days after +OPK then waiting one day and BDing the next.
I understand the three days after OPK but the waiting one and BDing the next confuses me.

Surely 5 days after +OPK is past the window. If O usually happens 12-24hrs after + OPK. And the egg is only viable for 12hrs.. Wouldn't the BD at the end of the SMEP cycle be a little late??

They say that O can happen 12-36 hours after a positive opk I believe. I thought the 1 day break after the positive might be to reenergise the little spermies to send through one last strong chance. My thoughts anyway.

Thks shelby. I suppose that would make sense too. We are going to give it a shot and see what happens. It certainly can't do any harm and we are loosely doing that anyways.
DH was all for the 'it will happen when it happens' casual approach but it hit him hard when we got a bfn last cycle. He is pretty keen to give it a good hard go this time... Pardon the pun

We aren't normally Bd every day ppl so it takes a bit more commitment to be BD'ing much more than usual in a single week. I really don't want it to be a chore so we are both trying to keep it fun too.
    FX!
