Default Beco Butterfly carrier - newborn hates it

Has anyone had success with a Beco Butterfly and a newborn? DS is 9 weeks and only little and I can't seem to get him comfy in it. It's like his little legs don't want to spread as wide as they need to fit around my ample girth. He also seems to be suffocating against my chest and I can't find a way to fit it so his face is not so covered. Any suggestions? Do all carriers have these problems when bub is really little? He spends the whole time struggling and telling me he hates it

Yeah, legs tucked up until they are a little bigger. I would just move DDs head to lie to facing to the side.

It's got the newborn insert and he does have his legs froggy style but they still have to kind of go around me even though his knees are up - not sure if that makes sense?

Thanks for the link MM - that's how I have him but he struggles so much that he almost stands up in the sling! Maybe he's just not into it!
