Haven't read other answers, but I have made up little packs of gingerbread decorated as stars and rum balls in previous years.
My gingerbread recipe made a stack

I am going to make my girls advent calendars this year. I saw it on Martha Stewart. You use old (or new if you want the colours to match) baby socks and use craft pegs to hand them from a ribbon so they look like little stockings. One for each day. I found 50 old baby socks that were too small or didnt have partners so will use those. Just need to buy some wee things to put in them

Also have made some candles in tea cups (also Martha Stewart). Just found some pretty old tea cups from the op shop and filled them with candles. They look really good
What an awesome suggestion!! I think I want to make those candles! Lol and the advent calendar is awesome! Thanks for sharing!

I'm making cookie in a jar for everyone. I also was going to make vanilla last year but ran out of time so it's been marinating for ages and will be right for this year.

I sort of want a blokey thing though cause the cookies and vanilla are sort of for the ladies. Any ideas?

Maybe a nice savoury chutney or jam to have with toast? We are doing pickled garlic for our family blokes. Even a nice jerkey?
