    I just bought my organic vanilla pods on eBay. I'll make vanilla essence and maybe some vanilla salt scrub too.

    I also make a massive batch of super hot chili sauce each year for Christmas presents. I bottle it in little spice jars or small baby food jars. It never goes off if you keep it in the fridge. I have some still from 2006 when I first started making my chili sauce.

    You can also make jars of vanilla sugar. Just fill with castor sugar and place a vanilla bean that you have halved inside. Shake every few days. Perfect for those that like to bake, or even just to add to coffee.

    I have a new idea I want to try making - Christmas wrapping paper bunting! I love the look of bunting but can't sew so want to try making a nice paper version to hang around the walls, alternating with tinsel. I will give it a try tomorrow and see how it turns out! I am really starting to get into this Christmas spirit now!
