    Default Drinking water - IVF

We're just about to start our first IVF cycle and the nurse told me today that I need to drink 1 - 2 litres of water a day in the first couple of weeks of the cycle then up it to 2 -3 litres in the second couple of weeks. WOW! She said that it helps flush the hormones through. Does anyone else know about this? Have you made sure you do it and found that it helps?

I'm not against it (at this point I'll do just about anything), just wondering if you've found benefits. As much as I try to be better, I'm a bit hopeless on remembering to drink water during the day usually so it will be a good thing for me anyhow.

Drinking water helps with the bloating and constipation most women get while cycling. I actually craved it, and drank 4-5 Lt a day. Drinking more water after EPU can also help with ohss, so it's good to get into the habit of always having a bottle with you.

    Good luck with your cycle

Oh thanks Katherinelouise. I was hoping it might help with bloating. That's the thing I'm most dreading. I hate that feeling!
