Thank you all. Tonight is night 2 on prednisolone and she's been asleep since about 530 after a pretty shocking night last night and an unsettled day. I'm supposed to go to work tomorrow and dd is supposed to go to kindy but I just don't think she should go tomorrow until I know she's okay. Ahhhhhhhh!! I never follow my instincts and continually second guess myself. Ladies I really appreciate you support xx

My DD has been on it a few times for asthma and works wonders, usually only 2-3 days along with her preventive and normal ventolin.

Both my girls have had to have it for Bronchiolitis and croup with stridor and had no issues with it. We have redipred in the cupboard for in the middle of the night if its needed they have no reactions to it

    Default Prednisolone

Dd is doing so much better. That stuff is amazing! Still a slight cough but not all day like she was!

It is great for asthma, the only thing we find is that as its a steroid it sends DS hyper for a few days. It's suggested that its best to give the dose in the morning so that they're not up all night with it. Glad your DD is on the mend

    Default Prednisolone

Thanks Lil M. I've found my Dd's behaviour is a little crazy at the moment. I'm just hoping its not terrible 2's and its to medication. She's 20 months.

    Default Prednisolone

Oh wow missie_mack! I feel like dd has been sick week on week off for the last six months. Hopefully we get some more advice off the doctors on Friday. They gave us 5 repeats for the prednisolone.

    Default Re: Prednisolone

My ds gets at least one course of redipred (prednisolone) every winter,

Usually he gets 3 ml twice a day for 3 days,

This winter just gone we only had one bout of croup, winter before we had 3.
