Default How long will vitex stay in body?

After mc I have decided to start with vitex. I am only taking approx 80mg a day (cutting with scissors a sliver of tablet), due to higher dose giving me the runs. Anyway, everyone says to not have at af and stop at ovulation if tcc. But how long does it take to leave body? I have only taken for five days now and feel very emotional is this normal too?

There seems to be lots of different advice on this. My naturo told me to take it all cycle except AF as it can cause heavier bleeding and clots.

I was told to stop when AF is due as it can, in rare cases cause m/c. So just make sure you do a pg test then re start after AF.

I'm not an expert but 80mg won't do much. The average does is around 1000 a day. I take 800-1200. I also find I get increased bowel movements and some cramping from it, it's a common side effect.

You do what works for you, all I'll say is for me, vitex is a miracle herb and I can't get pg without it. 3 times I have taken it half a cycle and got pg after years of ttc.
