    Default IVF & AMH Levels

I'm just starting my first ever round of IVF, & was just told that my AMH levels are slightly low for my age. I'm 31yrs old & the level is 8.4.

FS didn't seem to concerned, but after googling have freaked myself right out

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything i can do to help this problem??

    Hey Collz,

Iwas 24 & found out I had AMH of 8.1 so really low for my age. They will just put you on a slightly higher does of drugs but my new FS says its only an indicator to the future (as in don't wait any longer to start trying) I panicked too but all is working out ok so far xx

Thankyou, Hope2487. That makes me feel much more relaxed. I was really stressing about it.

It's one of those things that Dr Google says is bad (and I mean it's not ideal) but your first round of ivf is such a test run anyway that even with an AMH of 25 things still might not go to plan. Good luck with it all x

I'll add to Lara's story: I'm 38, my AMH is 5.2, and I got six good eggs on my first (and so far only) IVF round, of which five fertilised and four made it all the way to 5-day blast stage.

So with an AMH of over 8, I think you should get a good number. I hope it goes really well for you!

Default Re: IVF & AMH Levels

Don't stress ladies! My AMH was 6.4 before our last ivf, I was 31 at the time. Now about to turn 33 and watching my 7 month old boys play on the floor. You can get there, and you will!
