Usually I get stares or smart comments but yesterday at the shops I got stopped by 3 seperate ppl to tell me how beautiful my 4 daughters are and I've obviously done a great job with them to be so well behaved. Another lady had to stop me to ask what all of their names are and complimented me for them. Really made my day

Aww that's lovely. It really does make your day.
I saw someone today and told them we were expecting again. Instead of the raised eyebrows I was expecting they said "I don't blame you for wanting another, all of your children are so gorgeous". It was a nice change from the usual 😕

Default *sort of spin off* Does your large family ever get nice comments from stranger?

It's amazing how one compliment can make your day!! I wouldn't change having a large family for the world and would love to have more.

I have 3 and visibly pregnant again and have not had any negative comment except 'I don't know how you do it?'. Well I have good kids!! and get people coming up to me at the shops all the time telling me how lovely they are.
The worst I've ever got is 3 kids in a trolley and a man asking me where the groceries go!!!

    Congrats OP, double trouble!!!

Oh my goodness if I had a $1 for every 'oh my god' 'you have your hands full' 'four boys (gaping mouth' comments I would be rich!!! But occasionally just occasionally I have someone say 'I had four boys, it's wonderful' and I realise I am a lucky mum not a stereotypical mum but lucky all the same.

I get more negative than positive unfortunately, but really, they're more neutral I guess and the comments are more about the person who's saying them, than about me so I try not to take offence. I have had more positive ones in the last month or two and that has been lovely and encouraging, however I've noticed how I react to them is a bit negative because I'm already on the defensive, so my goal is to speak more positively about my family especially when given positive comments :-)

    Thanks 6fornow.
Unfortunately we lost one of the twins at 10 weeks, but I now have a beautiful 7 week old baby girl.

And I'm still getting lots of positive comments about our family of 6 kids!

    Congratulations on your little princess.
How are you going with 6 kids? My 4th is 5 months old and I am struggling to find our balance. I'm feeling like I'm chasing my tail 24 hours a day.

We get a lot of the omg you need a TV or you must be busy. I always say "they are the most wonderful things in our lives why wouldn't we want more". Recently a friend was expecting her 2nd with a 13 month gap which we have done and when I told her how brilliant having 2 so close would be she started crying as for 9 months all she had been told was she was crazy and stupid for having 2 so close. We have 2 step kids plus 3 under 3 with number 4 on the way so close big families are great
