If it's just an early blood test to check important vitamin levels, rubella immunity, STD's etc I would imagine you can get it done at anytime. This preg I got this done at about 6 weeks, last one I'm pretty sure I got it done at the same time as the 12 week NT bloods.

pretty much what I was thinking. And if it's the NT bloods (but 9 week seems early), you can get those up until 13 weeks I think. I had mine taken at 12+1, just after my scan. Of course it meant that I had to wait longer for my results.

Perhaps ring the pathology place and tell them what is written on your referral and they will be able to tell you what it's for. I would think getting the bloods done for the NT scan at 9 weeks would be way too early. When I booked in for my NT scan the radiology place told me to get the bloods done at least 3 days prior to the scan, but no more than 5 days.

You should still be fine to have it. My ob said NT at 12w and to have the blood test one week before.
