I did get to the point of screaming at end of transition and the middies suggested the 'low tone' and focus on 'down' breaths, and I found that really helpful. It moved me from starting to get panicky to a more focused state.

I screamed cause I lost the plot (think "out of control" screaming...) it was going WAY too fast and I didnt know I was in transition - I thought I was being ripped apart and dying slowly, lol.

My midwife told me to be quiet, put my chin to my chest, and push.

I actually thanked her later - I had NO idea what I was doing, and I needed her to get in my face and tell me to shut up and do what they say. It was the exact thing I needed.

Only twice... I was surprised at myself. I said f--- once and bl--dy h--l once. I also didn't yell at my DH.

I didn't make a sound!! Not intentionally, I just went into my own little world. The midwife was shocked when she went to insert my second lot of gels to discover I was 8cms dilated. However DH did suggest after the birth that he would have to go to the surgical ward and have his hand put back together!!

I was in so much pain I have no idea who said what in the room. And I wouldn't have cared!
