Default New Greenslopes Maternity Unit Brisbane

    Hi ladies,

i am nearly 6 weeks and have been thinking about which hospital I want to birth at. My OB currently works out of sunnybank but is moving to the new greenslopes maternity unit to be the head of obstetrics when it opens in April 2013. I have no concerns about my OB as I have heard he is wonderful and have had a couple of friends see him and say the same thing. I guess I just wonder about going to a facility that is so new. The website is great and the facilities look wonderful. Greenslopes will be fantastic in terms of locality - we can see it from the end of our street! Any thoughts? Is there anyone else considering this hospital?

    thanks
    Katie

The main thing to be concerned about isn't the facilities being brand new as such... you have a GREAT ob, that is all that matters.

I'm so excited about it, from what I've heard they will have the latest, most up to date facilities and the rooms (both delivery and recovery) look amazing,
