Default Does anyone else's parcel postie "know them"?

I *think* it is some sort of division within Oz Post - certain 'ordinary' post items get carded for me and the card comes with the rest of my mail. So the decision to card comes before there is any attempt to deliver the parcel.

Yet express post or registered post parcels of exactly the same size get delivered as parcels.

Omg yes! Lol I'm the envy of a couple of my friends as he stops to talk to me all the time. Cant wait for tomorrow as he already told me today he has a couple of parcels for me that werent ready for todays run. He is known around my area as the "Hottie who gives you pressies" I think he gets a laugh out of chatting up the desperate old housewife with 6 kids running around the house screaming (I'm a FDC Educator). I think I'm becoming addicted to online shopping just so he can come visit :-)

Lots of times leaves the parcel cards before even knocking to see if I'm home (95% of the time I am and in my room right next to the front door). It's frustrating as its a 4km walk to the post office for something he could have just handed me.
And when he does knock it's always between 7.45-9am and I'm in my pjs, and he always smirks!
Call and complain seriously. They get paid to knock!!

Our postie knows is and will wave if we see him out on the street. If we are out the front he will ride up to the kids and hand them the mail and let them check out his bike. The other year he came to the door with two of those Xmas stocking full of lollies and biscuits for the kids because he knew we were having a tough time. He's lovely.

As for parcels, nope. I don't get many parcels.
