    Default New to Narangba QLD

Hi everyone, I am a 37yr old kiwi stay at home mum. I have 3 children aged between 11 and 4. I am new to the area and my hubby works fulltime, so I would love to meet other mums for a kids playdate, coffee or just a chat. Would be awesome to find some local play groups in the area for my 4yr old lil princess, or anyone whos keen to also make new friends.
    Cheers
    Lisa

Hi, welcome to the area! We currently live in Morayfield but next year my 5 year old starts school in Narangba and so we will be moving to Narangba eventually too. It is an awesome suburb, when u get a chance take a drive out to Dayboro, it's lovely and only 15 minutes from Narangba :-)

    Hi Fluffy
I'm in Narangba too. I'm a mother to three kidlets, two boys who are 7 and 15 months and a 8 week old baby girl. I absolutely love it here. Where are you from originally? I'm from Australia but my husband is from the USA.
Lol just reread you post and you say your from NZ, woops

    Hey Babalooba,
I did the same thing a couple of days ago, meaning I asked the same question, when it was already posted, I was having a mummy moment I think lol so I get the .. we are originally from Auckland and my fams and I are currently staying with family in Narangba and are going crazy trying to find a rental property there or nearby as the area is so beautiful it just seems to be a crazy time for rentals at the mo it seems that 100 people are applying for the one house arrrrggghhh lol

It is really hard to find rentals in Narangba. We were super lucky with our house, we applied for a property but were beaten to it by someone else but the real estate said that we could choose another property through them. If I wasn't living here i'd like to live in North Lakes. Such a family atmosphere there. Are your kids in school yet?

Hi Babalooba,Wow that was lucky.. we have some luck too...We have also looked at properties in North Lakes,it looks like another awesome area.My kiddies havnt started school yet, we thought we would let them find their feet and settle into the area for a week or 2 before starting..they are super excited though. We are looking at sending them to Jinibara State school, whats your thoughts on schools in the area?

I would recommend Narangba State over Jinnaburra. I have not heard many good things... But hey, I have no direct experience with them. My son will be going NSS next year.

Also not sure of your aware but most public schools have catchment areas, so the school they are eligible to go to depends on where you live. You can Google "catchment area" plus the name of the school and you'll find map that shows you.
