Hi! I was on BCP for 3 years and stopped taking it in July after my last AF while still on it (inactive pills) and for the past 2 months AF has been right on time immediately after I stopped taking it. Fingers crossed for you!

Just remember everyone is different. I was on the pill for approx 5 years and before that for about 4 years was on the depo injection. Since coming off the pill I have had 30 day cycle, 33 day cycle, 50 day cycle and back to 33 day cycle - hopefully falling pregnant in the next few months would be nice but some women it can take a while and those that fall straight away are just lucky but yes I have been told as well that sometimes it's not great to fall pregnant straight off the pill - can't remember why they said that, but can always ask if you like :-)

Im one of those lucky ones that fell pregnant straight off the pill. I never had a withdrawal bleed or a period. It took me 29 days to ovulate ( I was already tracking) and bang.

As far as falling preg straight off the pill, as far as I know theres no harm to bub. The pill doesnt hang around in your system.

Some believe they want to get a real indication of their natural cycle to try for a bub and thats fine. Thats what I was trying to do! But decided to try and see what happened. I found when I was Ovulating, We DTD and bang.

    Good luck!

I got my Implanon implant taken out 3rd Aug 2012 after exactly 2 years of having it in, I started on the pill that day but over the month or 2 that I've been taking it I have been really slack (eg. forgetting to take it, missing the ones ive forgot completely, missing it completely for 4+ days) and so on, and its been completely stuffing with my hormones..
I talked to my boyfriend about it and he's suggested doing it naturally (stopping BC) and whatever happens happens and that he would love a baby as much as I would.
I'm really happy with this decision and am quite excited as this will be our first baby if we successfully conceive.

I stopped taking them completely on the 17th of Aug (3 days before my period).. My ovulation calender predicts I will ovulate on the 4th of September (4 days) which means I'm at the beggining of my fertile state, what do you think my chances will be? We plan on trying every night for the next 4-5 days
Hi, it took me 4 cycles to concieve after i had the implanon removed after 10mths of having it in. I ovulated the first cycle (i felt it, very unpredictable cycles) and dtd accordingly, yet didnt fall pregnant. Didnt ovulate again untill 4th cycle and seemed to get it that time
When i came off the contraceptie pill i fell pregnant first cycle with my first bub.
Give your body time to adjust. It will happen when your body is ready. goodluck with your journey

Default Re: Conception chances after coming off BC pills?

I've come off the pill twice over the 12 years I've taken it and each time got pregnant 1st cycle.

unfortunately I had a chemical pregnancy the second time (last month) but I don't assume it's due to the BC pill.

hi girls Mackenzie here I came off the pill last month, had a period and inbetween my cycle I had a withdrawal bleed (3 days, REALLY light) and got my real AF exactly when predicted 28 days after my LMP (thank god)
I'm very certain I'm back to my normal cycle, just finishing AF today so due to O on the 10th. fingers crosssed xx
