I'm sorry you are going through this! It must be horrible for you.. I'm amazed by the 6 hr day sleep! I'm seriously thinking she musnt be sleeping properly at night to be. Reding so much day sleep. Definitely still breathing problems there! I would be seeing another ent specialist and a pead for another opinion there is something they are still missing. Good luck hope she gets better soon

Massive hugs...you are doing a wonderful job in such a horrible situation. Could you possibly contact the ENT again? Also, just a thought, could she possibly have asthma too (just because you mentioned her older sister has asthma)...it may be adding to her breathing difficulties if you know what I mean.
have you considered taking her to a naturopath? Sometimes they are very helpful when the doctors have been way off the mark.
If you have a nebuliser at all (they dont tend to use them for asthma alot these days) but if you have one, possibly some colloidal silver in the nebuliser for her to breathe in may help fight infections in her respiratory tract. Question too, did they test the infections to see if the antibiotics would actually work against them? Because my dd recently had a urine infection but was resistant to one particular antibiotic so we had to put her on a different sort.
A probiotic may help boost her immune system a bit to help her fight any infections. But I would definitely be trying to speak to the Ent again and also booking her in to the naturopath. Hugs Hope you find some answers soon...please keep us informed when you can. You are doing a wonderful job.

Thankyou for all of the replies.
i was thinking she had a bit of Asthma so i wont rule that out.
the next ENT (post operation appointment) is on the 20th of Oct. so have to wait til then.
im just so frustrated and annoyed!
She's only 10 months old she needs to be happy.. and playing around.
plus her older sister cant see her friends because we cant take out the little one due to not wanting to spread anything.
both my girls are on the probiotic powder once a day
she has had different types of antibiotics they seem to make the symptoms better for days 2-6 then she takes off where it left off.. She has had a couple of different courses lasting from 10-14 days. she is on her 8th day of this 10 day one and today the fever started again after not having it since last Friday (its late Friday night now 11:30pm) so im just getting so concerned specially since she is always tired and fights going to sleep all the time. She cant breathe to suck her dummy and she has days where she can not feed properly. she has no ear infection or anything like that either and is not a colicy or refluxy baby. (plus she is on Losec (omeprazole) everyday for 3 months after her operations to neutralise the stomach acid so it wouldnt cause irritation in her throat.)
im starting to think the doctors were right when she was around 11 weeks old and noticed her nasal canals were the size of Newborns
and the ENT checked and said she seemed ok and they would consider doing a drilling surgery later on if the canals were still narrow (my sister had that done when she was about 14 years old)
so i guess i have to wait and see..
the only thing i want now is for her to get better. Her birthday party is in exactly 1 month (joint with her sister who is turning 3)
Argh im just going mad and my friends keep saying babies get sick dont make a big deal of it. my partner doesnt seem concerned but he isnt with her as much as i am.. this is not right. also her chest sounds hollow and dry tonight. she has a humidifier that we put in our room every night and sometimes during the day. and i have been giving her 1-2 puffs of ventolin with the spacer and mask if she needs it.
    Thanks for all the help!!

    Again.
The narrow canal thing is in the family so it could possily be contributing. And if her canals are narrower and also clogged with mucous no wonder shes having trouble breathing, poor darling. You seem to be doing all you can for her Lots of fluids. Have you heard of colloidal silver? To me the constant fevers and thick mucous aretill signalling infection. Wait at least two hours before/after the probiotics and you could give her some colloidal silver by mouth, Depending on the strength you get...the health food stores should be able to advise on dosages. Its a very broad antibacterial/antifungal. Kills alot of bad bacterium. Worth a try if nothing else is working for her. I would be so frustrating. Eapecially when you are constantly worried because you do know deep down that sething is not right and when everyone else is telling you to chill out. Trust your instinct. And try to look after yourself so you can look after your girls

does your mother live with you or nearby? sounds odd that she has similar symptoms. at the very least i think you need some strong probiotics to counteract the antibiotics and get your bodies back into balance.
i would think perhaps it's environmental as well, almost as if something is attacking the immune system.
any way you can get in to see a good specialist rather than being bounced around pmh?
