Go somewhere where they do them at the same time and it's over before you know it.
I had DD's done before one.
You get the disinfectant to rub on their ears.
Especially if she wants it done you shouldn't have any trouble!

I've just had my ears repierced after letting the holes close and have taken them out as I developed an infection in both holes. It was incredibly painful and bled a lot. I know this is rare but it happened even though I had high quality earrings in and followed the instructions to the letter. I won't let me girls have their ears pierced until they're teenagers and this has resolved my views on it. It's just not worth the risk for little kids who may not be able to keep them clean or otherwise look after them.

Never. I had mine done at 10 and the first time I changed them from the surgical steel posts to some nice solid gold earrings my mom had bought for me, my ears got swollen and infected. Turns out I have very sensitive ears (only one in my family) and can only wear surgical steel overnight, even the fanciest of earrings can only be worn for a few hours. I would never take the chance that my 3y/o would go through that.

I would wait until my child is old enough to understand that it will hurt and the care that needs to be taken to avoid infection.

Mine were done at 2. No issues.

DD's were done at 3.5. No issues. She cried after it happened. That's about it in regards to pain. I made her twist them and clean them daily and she was fine. She's now 7 and they're still fine.

I had my ears done at 3yo. I got a fright and cried but no pain and no pain afterward either.

I got my ears pierced at 3 and cried for hours and hours. I remember my parents buying me toys and lollies to try and get me to shut up
Turned out i had the kind of ears that get infected no matter what earrings were in them so that brought a lot more pain afterwards.
