Yes, this type of serial killer (I feel he would not have stopped at one victim) is what I was referring to in my OP. their mind is messed up long before they commit serious crimes and there are signs we can all be aware of.

Other types of violence against women are common and varied and no, don't always have lead-up disturbing behaviour.

I just cannot understand how HUMANS can act like this. How they can enjoy hurting others so severely.
Sometimes I just feel guilty for bringing kids into this big messed up world.

Yes but the fact that women are so often victims to all kinds of violence contribute to the mentality of people like this. That it is normalised and victim focused, and we don't hold men accountable for their actions to the extent that we should.

If women are continually objectified as sexual objects or framed as victims, then this is how a proportion of men will view them - whether they are sociopaths or otherwise.

    I agree

The objective of my OP was to try to encourage women to report ANY attempted grabbing or odd behaviour that makes women uncomfortable, because if it's reported then we improve the likelihood these people are caught before they murder someone. I'm not making any assumptions, just want women not to brush off odd behaviour.

Totally agree. Any sort of harrassment, intimidation etc is completely unacceptable. It is not something we should just expect and put up with.

    Hi all

Due to the fact that there is a case in court atm .. I will be removing all specific comments and speculation from this thread.

I have no issue leaving this thread on the forum - on the basis that its a GENERAL thread about personal safety/ violence against women .. HOWEVER if more specific comments are made -the thread will be removed.

    thanks
    Jen
