    Default 5kg Weight Loss Challenge!

    Hi Ladies,
    I'm looking for weigh-in buddies!
We can help eachother out and keep eachother accountable!

I want to lose 5kg in the next 8 weeks - I figure that is an acheivable goal!

My 8 Week Block starts on Monday.
I'm starting off with a Detox Week! I feel like I have been so far from my usual healthy eating & exercise regime, I need to detox to feel human again!

Hubby & I are TTC, so I would like to be a little lighter if & when I fall pregnant.

I need to pull my finger out now though.. I have been false starting this for a while now, I need to put my head down and my flabby bum up!

Let me know if you'd like to join me, the more the merrier!

Well since I'm quite overweight and hopeless with eating well I went and saw the doctor today for some medical assistance to lose weight. I am up for trying to lose 5kgs in eight weeks. I'm a disgusting 112kgs. I am so embarrassed of myself. I too would love another baby but must lose weight first. I have ballooned since I had my dd.

    Hi Tizzy!
    Thanks for joining me!
Well there is no judging here - you can lose 5kg in 8 weeks - easy!
Don't be so hard on yourself though - I know it is hard not to be, but think positively and you can do anything!
I look forward to speaking with you in the coming weeks!

    I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 5 kgs left to get to my goal weight. I've lost 15 kilos since my DS was born 8 months ago and have found myself in a slump - and as Dr Seuss says, unslumping yourself is not easily done!

Monday is the perfect start for me Go Team!

    YAY!
Oh yes - I think I've been in a slump for a few months!
We got married in April & I haven't been able to get my mojo back properly since then!

Ok my detox plan for next week is:

    Raw and natural foods only
    No sugar, nothing processed
No meat (nothing wrong with meat, but not as easily digested as fruit & veg)

So my eating plan for next week is:

    Breakfast - Oats
    Morning snack - Apple
Lunch - Green Salad - Baby spinach, broccoli, cucumber, avocado & a little tin of 4 bean mix for protein
Arvo snack - Low Fat Yoghurt
Tea - Green Smoothie - Apple, Banana, Avocado, Baby Spinach, Water & Cinnamon. I make a a really big smoothie so it's more filling!

Obviously having smoothies for tea is not sustainable for more than a few days, but I really feel like I need to have a good 4-5 days of total detox!

After my detox week, my eating plan will stay similar to the above, except tea will be protein & salad. Either a steak, chicken breast, lamb chop, chicken shaslick etc.

Exercise plan is - walk 30 mins in the morning before work.
After work - Monday & Wednesday nights run/uphill walk on the treadmill for 45 mins.
Tuesday & Thursday - Walk home from work (8km) while hubby is at Cricket Training.
Saturday - Walk with mum - 11km around parklands.
Friday night & Sunday - rest!

    Ok I'm in too!
I've been doing weight watchers for the past 5 months but for the last month I've been up a 1.0kg, down 1.3kg, then up again... it's a disaster!!!
All up I'm down 12.3kg but definitely stuck in a rut...
I need to loose another 40kgs but it can start with these 5!!
    Looking forward to it...

    Hey Mrsleesey
So do you have a lot to loose? I feel that because I have so much to loose, it all gets too much for me!! lol
I find I'm better with short goals, like this one! I nearly signed up for the Michelle Bridges thing but because I had my WW membership, thought I'd give it one last go...that bit of enthusiasm lasted all of 5minutes!! LOL

Don't think of the big goal, just break it down to little chunks and it will be much easier!
I don't have a great deal to lose, but I find that if I don't set goals & make myself accountable, I don't ever get there! And if I'm not actively working on it - I put on weight - it's a constant battle for me!
All up I would like to lose around 7-8kg. 5kg would be wonderful though, but if I can keep going, it will help - especially if I do fall preg.
As this will be baby No 1 for us, I have no idea how my body will react. One of my friends lost about 5kg without trying in her first trimester. My mum gained only 4-5kg total with me & my sister. And my grandma was so sick with morning sickness with all her pregnancies, she said that she weighed the least in her whole life when she was 7 months pregnant! I hope some of the above happens to me, but there is no way of knowing!
I want to be in a good place before we conceive, otherwise I could fall in a trap and find it too hard to lose once the baby is born.
