Default Favourite inexpensive makeup products ...

I love make-up ... I don't buy expensive stuff as my children take great delight in destroying it (ie. drawing on the toilet with my favourite lipstick ) but I'm always on the look out for something new.

Anyone want to share their favourite inexpensive make-up products?

Well- what do you call inexpensive?

Something that I wish I had of used 10 years ago was a corrective primer under my foundation- my face is very patchy normally. L'oreal do a nice one (it's green btw) for about $28? To me that's cheap for make-up, but I know others would balk.

A great tip for mascara, instead of spending a lot on expensive ones, is buy two different types (or just buy a new one before the current one runs out) - it doesn't have to be the same brand, either. Eg currently I have Maybelline Lash Stiletto and Maybelline Wing Express. Curl your lashes, coat generously with one mascara, and then even more with the next. Gives you the best looking eyelashes ever.

Hmm.. oh, I am addicted to Napoleon Highlight kit too- I can't remember how much it costs, but it's a series of 4 different shades and it gives you directions on how to highlight and contour your face. My whole face shape changes with it, so now it's a part of my daily staple. ETA I think it would around the $30 range. So cheap for all it does. I also use it as eyeshadow sometimes.

Revlon is my favourite for lip products, especially their lipsticks.
Essence (in target) is ridiculously cheap but not bad quality. The gel eye liners are really good and the eye pencils.
Rimmel stay matte powder is great and very cheap.

Of the times I've had my makeup professionally done. They have always used mac products then maybelline great lash mascara (the green and pink on). There must be something in that!

Revlon colour stay eyeliner (in the little black pot) is amazing, I think it's about $30? Also, their Grow Luscious Mascara is great too

Missha BB cream off eBay - it's only like $15 a tube and is WAY better than the Garnier stuff.
