Default Termites, a reason to break a lease?

My friend has termites in her house. They are all in back veranda and seem to be in the bedroom door frame.I tried to call the RTBA for her but was on hold forever so I thought I'd see if anyone on the hub has an idea. She wants to break her lease but the realestate (it's only a couple who own there own realestate) is a complete bish and a joke. She has 2.5 months left on her lease. She is hoping to break it as out in her back yard in now obviously unsafe. So does anyone know if it's possible to break a lease over terminates?

I think she would have to be able to prove the termites were impacting on her health and safety.Don't call the RTA, they are so pro the owner it's not funny! Get in touch with your local tenancy advocacy service. They should be able to help you out.
