    Default Cravings

    Hi everyone

Thought it would be interesting/fun to see what all the mums out there craved or are craving whilst pregnant

I will start the ball rolling:

    DS - Lemon Juice
    DD1 - Nachos, smoked salmon
DD2 - Greek Salad (had to be greek)

Does anyone know the science behind why pregnant women crave certain things

    Easterlily,
I agree it does sound gross but when you have those cravings nothing else matters.

    Eeeew Karena!!

I craved ice. I'd eat a whole packet (like 50!) of those skinny tube icypoles in about 3 days. Even after I had Eloise, the craving was still there! The nursing station at the hospital had one of those crushed ice machines and I'd sit up in bed eating crushed ice with a spoon like icecream!!

I couldn't stand the smell or taste of any other meat besides chicken. My cravings were for ice cold watermelon and ice coffee, I don't even like or drink coffee.

    Hi GUys,

I have cravings(nothing too major though)for nachos and raspberry and cola slurpies. This book that I have read..Natural way to better babies (Franchesca Nash) refers to cravings as us lacking a certain nutrient/vitamin depending on the food that you are craving...and that instead of eating the food that you crave, I should be checking what the food contains and referring it back to the book to see what vitamin/nutrient I am lacking....I think that this could be somewhat true...however feel that the odd binge is not going to hurt me too much!
