    First time I've covered a cake with fondant so it's very uneven and not perfect but my ds won't care one bit he will be happy

    My cakes are seriously amateur... but I suppose it's more about the love I put into them for my kids, rather than how spectacular I am (not) at decorating them.

    I struggle with fondant so prefer to use buttercream icing.

    It's better than my first attempt with fondant, first time I didn't cover the cake just cut out a shape to make this skyrim cake for dp's birthday last year and used black frosting, very messy ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1384809534.617330.jpg
    The cake was yummo though, rum & choc mud cake mmm
