We love making cakes here! My kids are nearly 7 and 4 and we also make cakes for our God children so I have a whole album full of photos. Will just share our most recent though, DDs 4th birthday cake.

Subbing for inspiration as last year's cake was an epic fail (more to do with attempting buttercream on a 38 degree day!)

Octonauts cupcakes from a couple of years ago... think I'll stick to fondant for my summer birthday girl!octocakes.jpg

You make a cake. You allow your child to get it all over themselves and the surfaces. You photograph it.

Wow! These cakes are amazing. My DS's 2nd birthday is in a couple of weeks and I am going to attempt to make a shark cake. He his obsessed with sharks. Going to be interesting as this is my first time at cake decorating. Any tips from the pros?

My DS just turned 9 and this is the first time I have made his cake. I am an epic fail in the kitchen so I was shocked at how this one turned out. He loved it thankfully...
