I think they are okay, but Nespresso ones are better...the fact that they are so easier to buy makes them more attractive too. I always run out of pods
    These are my thoughts too.
    Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

I bought some today, the intensity 10 ones and while I didn't think they were as good as the Nespresso ones, they are certainly good enough for a back up and great for those awful times when I have run out of pods and know my Nespresso order is still a day or two away (the panic )

Biscotti - have you tried the reusable ones? I bought a pack off ebay & they have been great so far. I bought some organic fairtade coffee at the markets & used it in there and its comparable to nespresso in mu opinion & works out to about 15c at the most a coffee!

How much are the machines? I want one but we drink alot of coffee so I'm thinking it would cost us a fortune with the pods...

We had a Nespresso machine at work, and I have an Aldi machine at home. Aldi machine is $89 and the pods are $5.95 for 16 (I think). Nespresso machines used to cost a motza!
Kmart now sells a Nespresso "compatible" machine for around the same price as the Aldi one, and I have seen quite a few of these compatible machines around now, I think it has something to do with the patent(?) running out or similar? I read an article one night shift long ago regarding it. Nespresso pods are still dearer though.
    Both taste delicious!

I've heard aldi ones are good, unfortunately we don't have one near us. We are travelling in the school holidays to a place with a kmart so might have to check one out...

Greenhorn - how long does it take you to make up a pod? I have looked into buying the reusable pods but just wonder if it would be a PITA to have to make one up each time. Is it time consuming or is it just an extra minute or two? The pods are just so damn easy with virtually zero cleaning. Geez that sounds lazy doesnt it .

    No I am the same!

Put it this way - if you are entertaining you'd want the proper pods.

It's not that time consuming, the most PITA thing is rinsing them. I use a teaspoon and a big container (that holds the coffee) so no mess as it spills into the container. I usually do about 4-5 in one go, and all up it would take me maybe 3 minutes?

That doesnt sound too bad then. I suppose I could make up a few at a time and have them ready to go. Hmmm, may be worthwhile further investigating. Did you buy your reusable pods on line? Any recommendations? Perhaps you could PM the details if you have time. Thanks

    Oh thanks foe that.
I've seen these on EBay but always wondered about the time/mess factor but I think I might give them a go.....maybe as a back up? I used to buy the most beautiful coffee (pre Nespresso days) and I have missed it I will admit

Do you these all the time instead of the Nespresso pods?
