    I think the statistic is actually 8-10 colds/illnesses in the first year of social contact - meaning first year of daycare or school - not first year of life. And yes, DD has had her fair share, some mild and some horrid, since starting daycare.

    Well not true for DS. His first year was pretty good maybe got 3 colds in total.
