    Welcome Violethope

dont give up and talk to your specialist. It may be a good idea to move up to the next stage. I was told that just the drugs and times IC isn't a big cost difference between that and IUI as IUI is rebated at higher rate.

im 29 and my husband is 38 we are healthy and I have a 6 year old daughter.
i also have PCOS. We have been ttc #2 for 2 years. We did 3 cycles of clomid and 1 cycle of IUI before our specialist moved us up to ivf (antagonist - short protocol).

i was really upset about doing ivf but you know what? I'm glad I'm doing it now because its greater chance of it working and getting us closer to the goal.

Dont be disheartened as hard as it is just keep positive.

i have been doing Accupuncture which is fantastic and taking royal jelly.

Hi everyone, thought I would join you all if that's ok? We are ttc no.2 at the moment, I have PCOS and was lucky to conceive DD on cycle 2 of injections last time. I am due to start injections for bub no2 soon after previously trying a letrozole cycle which didn't work at all with no ovulation. My FS has done a number of tests including a AMH blood test and I think he has realised my PCOS is maybe worse than he first thought. I can't wait to start the injections as I least know they worked for me last time, I have currently just started the pill again to hopefully reduce my lh which is sky high before I start. Looking forward to getting to know some of you girls, nice to see violethope in here too from my other thread .

    Hi All,

Thought I would jump on board with my TTC so far, not sure if it will help but might get me through the next week and a bit wait to find out if it's a BFP or AF. So I was on the pill for 10 years as when I was a teenager I had random cycles, I only went off it last year as we got married and wanted to start TTC asap. I got pregnant within 3 months of going off the pill but I have long cycles 37-39 days. Anyway I ended up having a M/C at 8 weeks. My thoughts were well it happened once I'm sure it will be easy enough to get pregnant asap again. Nope that wasn't the case. Took 6 1/2 weeks to get AF then I started my random cycles again 24 days, 22days then it was down to 12 days and I had enough.
So i demanded a referral to a F/S. He finally gave me answers that I was PCOS....a very lean PCOS, so weight is not the issue for me but my hormones were producing the wrong amounts at the wrong time.
My first cycle which is ovulation induction only was last month I did letrozole CD2-6 then U/S CD13 and had produced 1 large 25mm folicle and was surging myself however was triggered with 5000IUI of pregnyl and DTD 36 hrs later for next 2 days and then 3 x 15000IUI pregnyl boosters. BFN AF was about 2 days late.
This month round two- F/S wanted to produce more than 1 follie but I said I would like to try just one more time. I was back at F/S office every 3 days getting U/S and blood test everyday...follies weren't growing as expected and lining wasn't doing well....so CD10 he decided to give me FSH 75IU shots and CD13 U/S and perfect 25mm follie and 8.5m lining so was triggered again with 5000IUI pregnyl and 3 boosters of 1500IUI. Now I'm on the anxious wait again to see if I will be yet disappointed. Lots of little twinges and cramps and really sore boobs this time round, the pregnyl shots really mess with your head as everything feels like early pregnancy symptoms.
The shots don't get any easier and because I am on baby aspirin I have massive black arm from all my blood tests and bruises all over my tummy!
Hope this helps someone and would love to hear others doing the same sort of cycle.

babydalla - Thanks for your story, sounds very similar to mine actually, I too have lean pcos but my hormones are all out of wack. Both letrozole and clomid have no worked for me and I don't ovulate (think that's due to my very high LH levels). I was successful with FSH injections 3 years ago though and conceived my DD, hopefully it will work for you too

mplum - Congratulations that's fabulous news, hope you have a great pregnancy.

It has seemed to have been very quiet in here since I joined I wonder how many people on here are still using injections? I should be starting my injections next week unless we decide to delay to fit in better with when DH is home as we are doing timed intercourse. Just can't wait to get started now, can't wait much longer to conceive baby number 2.

Thanks heyside for your reply. I hope successful this round as well but my hopes diminish each month as I have all my friends around me popping out babies like there is no tomorrow and to hear ohhh just don't stress it will happen we will fell pregnant really quickly and weren't really trying! Sorry end rant.

i have just over a week left to wait to see if af arrives again this cycle sigh!

Mplum that is great news. I am really happy for you! Enjoy the good feelings! When is your scan?

My update is a sad one. I got my BFP in July and everything was great but when I went for my 7 week scan there was no heartbeat and my bubba had stopped growing a couple of days prior. It was devastating. I had a d+c just over 2 weeks ago and now have an appointment monday to get my results and start preparing for my next FET in a few weeks

welcome babydella and good luck with it all.
