    Hi all!
Wow this thread does move fast!! Feel like I should be responding and writing more, but there is just no advice or nor do I have the answers to the questions being asked, so I am idely sitting by reading everything!
So for me...still NO AF! I am now on CD43!! I am quite frustrated, but I am sure it'll turn up soon (I hope!) when I thought AF was due ages ago, DH agreed to DTD every 2nd night to increase our chances - that was when we thought I had a normal cycle length - not sure he would agree now knowing how long this is going on!!!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend - perfect weather in Brisbane today!

Well af showed up today, i'm actually happy as we are off to the wineries on Mon for 2 days with some friends and I really wanted to join in on all the wine tasting! hehe DP didn't look so happy though I think he wants one more than me now and I'm not to fussed about when it happens now...weird!

Looks like I o'd on cd17 and we didnt dtd that day or any days before or after so of course it wouldnt happen! At least my cycle is now much more regular at 30 days now so I know to aim more for around that time and take J's advice and dtd daily around this time!

J I hope the time goes quickly for you until your scan so your mind can be put at ease (at least a little)..must be horrible worrying about it..I would probably be the same to be honest even though I haven't even had a m/c before, Im just a worry wart in general and cant help it!

I just read a good book called seduction and snacks-highly recommend! It'll make you laugh and cry and it's a bit raunchy in bits too! Didnt end up reading the 50 shades but went with this one instead as the first few pages got me hooked

Thanks Dipzel. It's going to be long few weeks, that's for sure.
I am reading the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, and it's ****!! Really poorly written, the sex is very repetitive, the heroine is pathetic, and the hero is a first-class freak-show! BUT...it is really addictive, unfortunately.

I need to understand the physiology, pathophysiology (disease process) and pharmacology (the way in which a drug works at a molecular level), of the treatment. I want to know the success rate of a treatment, and its risks versus benefits.

Your Fertility Specialist is just that...a "specialist" in the area of fertility. He will have done extensive study and clinical work in the area of fertility, and be up-to-date with the latest treatment regimes. This is not to say all Fertility Specialists are demi-Gods, but as a general rule, they are very experienced in a whole range of infertility issues.

Re: your Acupuncturist...I have never even heard of "blood moving" herbs? To me, it makes no sense. The only thing that "moves" your blood is the pumping action of your heart! And, I cannot see any way in which "moving" your blood would assist in the treatment and/or reduction in size of your endometriosis.

Oh dear...I have got on my high horse, and probably offended you!

This said, there is a place for Acupuncture as a complimentary treatment. In addition, not instead of, your conventional treatment by your FS. However, if you are finding it overwhelming and expensive, I think it is probably not in your best interests to continue. If you do want to continue, but at a less intense level, and as an "adjunct" to your FS, then perhaps just tell her that. Please don't be pressured into something you are not comfortable with.

I hope I haven't upset you; this is my honest opinion, and I really don't want you to be misled by your Acupuncturist.

    J xx.
Thank you for your honest response, I am not at all offended. My dh supports my decision to do acupuncture but does not believe in it, he tends to prefer the western approach. I wish I had a dr like you to explain things to me! I value your medical opinion. I wish there was a cure for endo but unfortunately there isn't. I know that acupuncture can compliment conventional treatment but I find it conflicting at times with western medicine. I am just feeling so confused and to be honest frustrated by it all. I want more than anything to get pregnant and am really hoping it happens soon...

I think acupuncture is awesome as an additional thing. I find that it helps me relax and not think about TTC at least for half an hour.

I don't think herbs are necessarily good in conjunction with a FS - our FC says to not take any herbs or other supplements unless recommended by them.
