AFM, well AF is 10 days late!!! Had BT this morning, results tomorrow arvo. I have everything crossed. So far 3 BFN using first response tests. But doc said its still possible. I drink a lot of water and hoping that is diluting the Hcg levels in urine. If I'm not utd, I am so confused where AF is and why I'm so late. This is so unusual for me. If any has any advice, it's welcomed.
Fx, I'm keen to hear the results as I'm sure you are too!!!

Hey rainbow. I had one a few months back. It was a bit uncomfortable but not painful (and they had trouble getting the tube in). I took naprogesic's beforehand and that seemed to do the trick. Hope all goes well :-)

    Hi everyone,
it sure is hard to keep up without the app!

I had an appointment with an OBGYN today - the perks of being a senior midwife and working in the same office as the fertility OBGYN's!

Anyway - had heaps of blood tests and a pelvic u/s, pap smear, internal.. hmm think thats it. DH also had bloods done he did need to do an SA as already had done one and perfect.

    2 things:
    1. My BMI is 18 - apparently that is too low and optimal fertility is 20 or above. i have always been thin. he said that being thin doesnt necessarily mean i will have problems but is a higher risk.
    2. I have a thin endometrium lining at 6mm at CD30, 9dpo. he said that the endometrium lining being too thin is caused by hormones being imbalanced and underweight is also a factor.
he wants me to do an assessment cycle next cylcle - bloods and u/s to see what my hormones are like and when i am ovulating. maybe then aftr tyat a hycosy.

i have never heard of a thin lining. I asked him if I could be preg from this cycle and he said unlikely with the thin lining. can anyone shed some light on this? is it very serious?

From what you have said, it sounds like a relative deficiency of progesterone in your luteal phase. Progesterone stimulates the endometrium to become "thick and lush" and hence a welcome environment for implantation and subsequent placental development. If it is too thin, a fertilised egg basically wont stick.
Having said this, it is nothing that cannot be fixed by "tweaking" certain medications. Your blood tests will shed some more light on this...when do you get results?
    J.
