Default Imodium? ER? Call midwife? What to do? (TMI warning lol)

Since yesterday I have had a little bit of diarrhea.

I only had one toilet trip yesterday, but today have had 3 toilet trips that are me mainly peeing via my butt lol..

I am in no pain or discomfort (other then when my belly decides I gotta go toiley!).

I am also 16 weeks pregnant (today).

    Should I be concerned?
Should I just let it be?
Can I just take some Imodium?
Is it worth calling a midwife (I feel it's not worth it.. But I don't know?)
Should I be taking this seriously and pop down to the ER?

The highest my temp has been is 37.1, which I then took a panadol and brought down to 36.8 (back to 37 now, in a space of about 4 hours).

I am not really concerned, but then I just kinda freaked out and thought, 'should I be worried?'.

    So... Should I?

So what do you ladies think?

Give it another 24hrs, keep up the fluids and if you're still not well and are concerned go see your gp tomorrow

    Thanks for the replies!

I was worried about it feeling 'normal' but being something really bad eg if I was itchy all over, it could be my liver failing etc...

Now I can sleep in peace tonight

And yes, I drink about a litre every hour to two hours... So fluids are always in me.

I just had a weekend of awful gastro at 35 weeks pregnant. I rang the midwife when the diarrhea was really bad coz I was concerned but she said as long as I can drink water and keep it down Bub will be fine. They take all the good stuff from you. She assured me they are very resilient. Ring your midwives at your hospital if you need reassurance but I'm sure you'll be fine. Hope you feel better soon.

Bispectin (sp?) is about the only thing you can take during pregnancy for diarrhea.

I hope it gets better soon!

I had gastro twice in the last 2 months and I am 37 weeks pregnant. The second time I had to be admitted to hospital for 2 days on iv drip because I couldn't keep anything down, temp went up to 40 degrees and can't even keep panadol down. 10 toilet trips a day and vomiting about 10 times a day too, can't eat can't drink, shivering cold.
The first time the doctors weren't so concerned just said to take some hydrating fluids from the chemist every time I vomit or diarrhea. But I was able to eat and take ps adios and drink also and keep most of it down. It usually goes away after 3-7 days or something like that.

You are doing better then me. I had Gastro a little over a week ago at 12weeks. I took 6 hours to have a bottle of Powerade (was in a hotel, it was that or coke) The first 100 mls came up after about and hour.

In the end I got some Hydrolte and took one sachet, I was feeling a lot better, Had another for breakfast the next day and went for a 16hr drive.
