    Yes, I do it all the time with things like soup, stew and curry. I figure they're about as chunky as vomit so it must be ok.

    stuff that can't go down the sink but is too runny for the bin yes. Especially breakfast cereals and sort of chunky soups.

    Yep we do, and my DP is a plumber and says its fine

    He even says oil down the drain is fine but I don't do that!

    Yes it is exactly what it looks like and sounds like when it is going in. It's gross as well as weird which is why I made my husband stop doing it, but didn't want to offend the OP by saying that!

    Oh thats sweet that you thought it would offend so didnt say it haha, But not im not offended at all i really dont care, so its all good, but i never have the issue of a leaking bin bag that others do haha

    Lol it does sound like that! I used to do it before we got the dog , drove DH mad!
    (lots of pp said compost- I thought your not meant to put anything that's been cooked in there?!?)
