    Default Ergo carrier from eBay

Anyone bought one of the bnwt Ergo carriers off eBay? They usually come from places like SingApore. Are they knock offs? R they any good? Trying to work out whether to get one in a store for $159 (not incl 20% disc.) or buy a new "genuine' one for $80 off eBay + postage. ???

Yes we did. It's a genuine one, and was around $70 I think. I'm not sure where it came from, DH got it. Ours is the ergobaby sport

    Default Ergo carrier from eBay

I wouldn't do it, I bought one from eBay a year ago from a seller in Australia, maybe she didn't know it was a fake. But she advertised it as genuine etc etc I've since found out it's a fake! So it's now in the bin. I'd always buy brand new from a store. It's just not worth it. I don't know for sure but I'd imagine these 'genuine' ergo carriers from singapore are also fakes.

No please don't - not even from a recommended seller. There is only one authorized seller on EBay and they must not sell below RRP - a new Ergo under $100 is fake and all the fakes are getting harder and harder to spot.

Dont risk it. Buy instore or an approved reseller.

Perhaps try os if you want a cheaper one. We got ours in Hawaii at the start of the year and I'm sure they could post here (if the postage doesn't rule out the savings).

You can get the ergo sport from toys r us for $130 on sale from 19/9. Newborn insert is around $30. The catalogue is online. I looked on eBay before I bought mine but they were all fake even though the seller insists they are genuine. It's not worth risking your baby's safety for a few dollars.
