Default Cramping and lower back pain, 5wks 5 days

Looking for similar experiences, and hoping for good news.
I have had cramping and lower back aching all afternoon, had to go to GP for my daughters sickness this afternoon, so just mentioned it while I was there.
Basically, she has given me a request form for an ultrasound incase the cramping gets worse, or I start bleeding tonight or over the weekend, thinking it could be eptopic. But she also gave me the impression that she was expecting it to end in miscarriage.
The cramping has stopped for now, havent had it for a couple of hours now. Back pain feels a bit better, but still there.
    Has anyone had anything similar?

Default Cramping and lower back pain, 5wks 5 days

Ive had cramping and backaches the entire time...im 10 weeks now and its been quite bad today. I had a scan at 6.5 weeks and another at 7.5 weeks and both showed 2 babies with strong heartbeats. I have another scan on Monday, so Im hoping everythings ok! My obstetrician wasnt concerned about the cramping. It certainly makes you feel uneasy, hey? Goodluck! Hope it eases.

My experience the only time I had back pain in early pregnancy was with the miscarriage.

In saying that I wouldn't be worrying unless I was bleeding

Good luck and I hope eveythibg is ok. Go to the dr tomorrow and tell then to do some bloods and go again on moday
Thank you, I think I will call the clinic tomorrow if cramping and backache comes back. See what they have to say about it.
I cant remember if I had backaches with my mc last year. My cramping didnt start for a few hours after the bleeding, but I guess each case could be different.

Yes, I have had all the normal crampy pregnancy feelings so far, but this afternoon it felt more like period cramping, but gone now.

    Hi
With my pregnancy ten years ago I had severe cramping (worse then period pain) for the first 12 weeks!!! I was terrified that any second I was going to bleed ... but I didn't!!! I went to hospital once and had several scans, each revealing that all was ok. They told me that severe cramping like mine was rare but not unheard of. Can't recall if I had back pain sorry but I do have a healthy daughter now!! So from my experience, cramping can be your body going through the sudden changes! Some just get it worse than others I guess.
    All the best

Thank you Stormgirl. I know in the end what will be, will be. It is reasurring though to know it is possible in a healthy, viable pregnancy!
