What about ballroom/latin dance classes? DP and i used to do swing dance classes, they were very casual, you don't have to go every week. That was good fun.

If your kids r in day care u get ur DH to take day off and u to if u work, on a day they r in care and just spend the whole day togeather. In bed, have a nice lunch somewhere, sleeping, go movies, whatever. DH and I did this on my birthday it was the best day togeather we've had in years...and I am now pregnant with number 3..LOL.
