    Default 2 middle names?

I can't believe I'm even contemplating this as I always thought it was overkill.
I think I really want to have some part of my mums name in this baby's name if it's a girl.
The middle name was going to be Katherine after my paternal grandmother whom I'm very close too.
But my Mum is amazing. Seriously just an amazing person.
She is the most fantastic grandmother ever and mother and MIL.
But her first name is just awful. It doesn't suit her at all! It's a real bogan name.
Her middle name is Lee, but I'm not sure I could use just "Lee"... So I was thinking so and so Katherine Lee so and so..
    Are 2 middle names a big w@nk?
None of my other kids have two which would be weird.
    Thoughts?

DF has 2 middle names and he hates it. It's family tradition and DF has said if we have a boy he won't want to continue the tradition. I personally wouldn't mind doing it, for tradition.

    Default Re: 2 middle names?

My older brother had 2 middle names whereas my younger brother and i only had one each. It was never weird that he had 2 and we didn't.
My brother would get annoyed when filling out forms because his name was so long or he would have to drop the second middle name because there was only space for one name.
I think on the whole it doesn't really matter either way.

Same with my DH - and he refused to carry tradition with our DS.

But Lee is quite short so could work if you have your heart set on it.

If it's a girl you could make her MN Katy-Lee or similar.

Please whatever you do - DO NOT hyphenate!!!!!

Can you use Katherine as a first name? Katherine Lee sounds nice together.

As Lee is a shorter name it prob would still fit on normal forms so you wouldn't have that but I think it's a bit weird for one sibling to have two middle names and the others only one.

Just use the rationale if you had bee having another boy you wouldn't be using the name anyways lol - I desperately wanted to honour my grandmother by using her name as a middle name but only had DSs, she still knows how much she means to me
